Title: âTransforming Cancer and Cardiovascular Care Through Liquid Biopsy"
Genome-based testing has pervaded disease diagnosis and management of almost every medical specialty, particularly in the care of patients with rare diseases and cancer. In both these specialty areas, liquid biopsy - the genomic analysis of circulating cell-free DNA - has already positively influenced the care of millions of patients. These changes are still evolving. This talk will give a perspective on the current state-of-the-art in liquid biopsy for cancer management and cardiovascular disease, with a glimpse of the requirements for its future use in routine healthcare.
